Earthquake Awareness Training at SosyalFest’26

Within the scope of the SosyalFest ’26 event held at the Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus on May 10–11, 2026, training activities on earthquake awareness and disaster preparedness were conducted by our Disaster Preparedness Laboratory instructors using the mobile earthquake simulation training truck.

Throughout the event, visitors were informed about correct behavioral responses during destructive earthquakes, preparedness measures to be taken prior to disasters, and key practices to follow during an earthquake. Through the practical training sessions conducted inside the earthquake simulation truck, an earthquake experience was conveyed to participants under controlled conditions, aiming to enhance the disaster awareness and preparedness capacity of the community.
